In this image I use emphasis on the birdhouse. As you can see it is all busted and nearly falling apart, but somehow still standing. This exact birdhouse has been around since my mother was a kid and this story of the birdcage goes with my overall story of living out in the country on the same land as my mother did when she was a child. 

I used unity to try in the old sword with the old rundown swing. just like the birdhouse, this swing has also been beaten down but still remains. This is a common theme with my story.

I used emphasis on the flowers to show beauty even when the surrounding are far from that.. You can still see a broken down gate in the background. 

Again emphasis is being used. This time I used emphasis on the sword leaning on the tree. This sword was found while digging a hole for our electric lines. Adds to the story of  the odd beauty of living in a small country town

I guess unity was used here to. The sword, tree, and rock come together to add to my overall story.

Texture is used on this tree that was struck by lightning. Lightning has struck many things on my parents land over the years. 

Contrast is used to show the different colors in the trees and the abandoned shed. Though this shed is not on my parents property, it is always the thing we see when getting in and out of our car.

This fence used to separate my parents yard from my grandparents, but it has been broken down like many other things on this land. Contrast is occurring in this image

This is a wide shot showing the abandoned shed, but next to it is an abandoned travel trailer. It once belonged to my cousin, but he has passed away and my family can't seem to part ways with it. It's becoming broken down.
